Church Retreat Restoration. Oil based stains tend to turn dark over the years. The linseed oil base can become a "food" for mold and mildew. If left untreated the logs will begin to deteriorate leading to even more costly repairs. This project was begun in time. So far there seems to be no log repair. The log rails were put up prior to stripping the old stain. This allows us to take care of everything at the same time.

Even though the logs in these pictures are still wet from cleaning you can clearly see the difference between the uncleaned logs on the garage. This is just the first phase of the cleaning process. Check back over the next couple of weeks to see the continuation of this restoration.
